Purpose

The Program Committee shapes the scientific vision and intellectual content of EBHO’s flagship events, workshops and educational programmes. Its membership is selected to balance disciplinary expertise (neuroscience, neurology, public health, psychology, translational research) with geographic and career-stage diversity across Europe, ensuring the programme reflects wide perspectives and regional priorities. The Committee prepares and independently supervises the scientific program to advance rigorous, multidisciplinary brain-health research and practice.

Fellowships & Scholarships Program

The Committee administers a portfolio of mobility awards, research fellowships and scholarships designed to accelerate the careers of early- and mid-career researchers, clinicians and educators in brain health. These programmes enable recipients to undertake training visits, learn new methods, or collaborate in laboratories and clinics abroad—building technical skills, networks and translational capacity across Europe.

Application and Eligibility

Applications are assessed by the Program Committee (or panels it appoints) against transparent criteria: scientific or training merit, feasibility, demonstrable benefit to the applicant’s career and home institution, capacity building potential, cost-effectiveness, and commitment to inclusion and open science. Eligibility is tailored to each call but generally includes early-career researchers, clinician-scientists, PhD candidates, postdocs, and junior faculty working in brain health or related disciplines.
