About EBHO

The European Brain Health Organization (EBHO) is a collaborative network dedicated to promoting brain health as a cornerstone of human well-being and societal progress.  We believe that brain health shapes well-being, learning, productivity, and social cohesion. Guided by our vision “Healthy Brains for Future Generations” we turn cutting-edge research into public good through pan-European meetings, regional workshops, clinical masterclasses, and open “Brain Health Week” activities that connect laboratories and lecture halls with communities across Europe.

In the brain health area, scientific and societal questions are multifactorial, from prevention and mental health to neurodegeneration, lifespan development, and digital risks so that no single discipline can solve them. EBHO mobilises cross-border teams, patient voices, and public institutions to generate insight that is rigorous, inclusive, and actionable. Our commitments guide everything we do: integrity grounded in fairness and respect; collaboration with universities, hospitals, patient groups, and policymakers; excellence in rigorous, open science; inclusivity that amplifies under-represented regions and voices; service to members and society.

A New Hub for Brain Health

Our vision is to make brain health a shared European priority. EBHO aims to be a trusted hub where researchers, professionals, and citizens find evidence, tools, and networks to prevent, understand, and address brain-related conditions. By bridging science and society, we empower decisions that improve lives today and protect the minds of tomorrow.

EBHO Mission

Our mission is to accelerate discovery and translate knowledge into impact. We invest in people and ideas through seed funding, awards, and collaboration opportunities; we run training, fellowships, and mentorship; and we open our platforms to the public through accessible talks and community programmes. In short, we help promising ideas become better care, policy, and prevention.

Empowering Action

Education

We build capacity through accredited courses, hands-on workshops, summer schools, and mentored cohorts for students and professionals. Flagship events include an annual summer school, clinical masterclasses, and public webinars that translate complex science into practical, workplace skills.

Research

We catalyse discovery by offering seed and bridge grants, early-career awards, and cross-border consortium matchmaking across neuroscience and neurology. We emphasise open, reproducible methods, shared data resources, and patient-involved studies that deliver evidence to inform policy and clinical guidelines.

Innovation

We translate breakthroughs into practice through interdisciplinary sprints, pilot-testing in clinics and communities. Our innovation forum and demo days connect researchers, startups, hospitals, and citizens to co-design tools that improve prevention, diagnosis, rehabilitation, and quality of life.

EBHO President

Dr. Nasrollah Moradikor, Ph.D., is currently Principal Investigator and Head of Brain Aging and Dementia at the International Center for Neuroscience Research in Georgia. Dr. Nasrollah has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills in promoting applied neuroscience research and establishing fruitful collaborations among scientists worldwide. In 2021, Dr. Nasrollah founded a new community platform named “Neuroscience Network” to support and develop neuroscience in the world. His ability to create a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment has been instrumental in promoting the development of aspiring neuroscientists. He has over 15 years of research and teaching experience and till now he has chaired many national and international events in the area of neuroscience. Nasrollah has been on the scientific advisory board and evaluation committees of several institutions abroad.
